My name is Angelica Merlano, and I’m a Physician Associate (PA-C) with over five years of diverse clinical experience across multiple specialties, including primary care, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, neurology, aesthetics, and currently, trauma surgery. I bring a whole-person, integrative approach to patient care—focused on treating the root cause of illness, not just the symptoms.

I earned my Doctoral Degree in Medical Science (DMSc) from the University of Lynchburg, which deepened my commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Throughout my career, I’ve recognized a recurring challenge in healthcare: patients waiting weeks or months for appointments, only to see their provider for a rushed five-minute visit. At Opal Oasis, I set out to change that.

I founded Opal Oasis Integrative Wellness to offer something different—a calm, compassionate space where patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Here, quality time with your provider isn’t the exception—it’s the standard.
